Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026. Becoming is not launched yet; this policy covers the waitlist website now and the app when it launches. We will update this page, and tell you, before anything here changes.
The short version. We collect your email for the waitlist. In the app, your selfie is sent to our server and our AI provider, Google (Vertex AI Gemini), only to create your "AI visualization". Our server does not save your selfie. The generated image is deleted from our server within 24 hours. We do not sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps.
1. Who we are
Becoming ("we", "us") makes the Becoming glow-up app and this website. Contact us at privacy@becomingglow.app.

We do not use cookies, advertising pixels or third-party trackers on this site. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not follow you across other sites. Your browser stores your theme choice and your referral link locally so the page remembers them; that data stays on your device.
3. The app: your photos and AI processing
- Consent first. Before your first upload the app asks for your explicit consent and names the AI provider. You can say no and still use the habit plan.
- Who processes your selfie. To generate your visualization, your selfie is sent over an encrypted connection to our server (running on Cloudflare) and then to our AI provider, Google (Vertex AI Gemini), running in Google Cloud. Google processes the image only to create your visualization and to run automatic safety checks. If we ever change provider, we will name the new one in the app's consent screen and on this page before it is used.
- No training. We only use AI services under terms that do not allow them to use your photos to train their models.
- Our server does not store your selfie. It is held in memory only while your image is being generated, and is never written to our database, storage or logs.
- 24-hour retention of generated images. The AI-generated image is stored on our server (Cloudflare R2) for at most 24 hours so you can view and save it, then it is deleted automatically.
- Progress photos stay on your phone. Your weekly progress selfies and saved images are kept on your device. They are only sent to us if you ask for a new re-reveal, and then the same rules apply.
- Reported images. If you tap Report on an image, it is hidden from you and kept for up to 30 days so a person can review it and improve our safety filters, then deleted.
- Safety checks. Uploads are checked automatically (for example, to reject photos with more than one face or photos that appear to show a minor). These checks are not used to identify you.
4. Other app data
- Anonymous device ID. The app creates a random ID instead of asking for an account. It links your purchases (if any) and referral rewards.
- Habit check-ins and Glow Score. Stored on your phone. We receive daily point totals only to show aggregate stats such as how many people started today and "top X%" rankings.
- Purchases. If paid plans are switched on in the future, payments are handled by Apple or Google, and RevenueCat manages subscription status. We never see your card details.
- Your birth year is used only to confirm you are 18 or older.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or advertising ID, and we do not use ad SDKs.
5. Sharing
We never sell your data and never use your photos in our marketing. We share data only with service providers who process it for us: Cloudflare (hosting, storage), Google (Vertex AI Gemini) as our AI provider, RevenueCat (subscriptions) and our email-sending service for the waitlist. Nothing becomes public unless you share a card yourself.
6. Your choices and rights
- Tap Delete my data in the app's Settings to erase your device record, generated images and referral data from our servers and subscription records. Then delete the app to remove what is on your phone. Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your data page.
- To remove your waitlist email, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to privacy@becomingglow.app.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your data and to object to processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Age
Becoming is for adults aged 18 and up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete it.
8. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Access to our systems is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users promptly if a breach affects their data.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
